The Spending Resistance Newsletter

Your Money Is Already Political.

Use It on Purpose.

The Spending Resistance is a bimonthly newsletter for women who want to use their spending power to protect democracy, support their communities, and live their values — without burnout or perfectionism.

If you are seeing some of the currents events (especially in America), things like:
  • The American People elected Donald Trump to the Presidency a SECOND TIME?!

  • The orange taco’s tech bro buddies working hard to help gut government agencies and programs (like USAID and Medicaid) leaving the most vulnerable communities without food and resources they desperately need.

  • The creation of a federal police force (thinly disguised as customs enforcement) and funding it through a massive kick in the face to the American People (aka the Big Beautiful Bill) while spending billions on hiring unexperienced, untrained “officers” and using them to target BLUE states like our friends in Minnesota.

  • The arrests of legal immigrants and even citizens with the use of unlawful violence against Americans who are exercising their first amendment rights to protest.

  • Unconstitutional “arrests” and detainment against citizens who dare to speak out against inhumane, racist treatment of immigrants.

  • The deplorable conditions of detention centers that feel eerily similar to some of the worst concentration camps during 1940s Germany…(especially in Texas, especially with young kids)

And you're feeling  anger, rage, overwhelm, or even frozen…

Then it’s time to find an alternative to waking up every day to thoughts like, “Oh shit this is really freaking bad, but I have no fucking clue what to do!”

And if you’re still reading… you’ve found your people.

When you sign up for the Spending Resistance Newsletter, twice a month you will receive in your inbox:

  • Practical ways to use your money as resistance against FACISM and Human Rights Violators (boycotts, alternatives, values-based spending)

  • Updates on where your dollars actually go — and how to redirect them

  • Realistic actions to fight fascism for busy, neurodivergent women (no perfection required)

  • Community-centered ideas to support people locally

  • Perspective shifts when the rage feels paralyzing

Hey, I'm Erica

I am an ADHD Money Coach. For the last 6 years, my speciality has been all about helping neurodivergent women learn how to spend their money in a way that aligns with their values, and I’m continuing that work now as well.

However, I’m also someone with a deep sense of justice that can’t just act like business as usual when we have an active threat to our freedom occurring.

People are being tortured, abused and killed in our country and there are still people that are excusing it, and companies that are participating in it.

And hitting those companies where it hurts is one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal for impacting change.
